Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Web server log files are created when the website is accessed. The web server generated log files contain the following information:

  • Accessed page (URL)
  • Browser or browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL ( previously visited website)
  • Host name and IP address of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

Web server log files are created for reasons of operational security, to generate access statistics (except IP addresses) etc. Temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the user’s IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.

The storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data is used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

These purposes also include our legitimate interest in data processing on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO.

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session is ended. In the case of storage of the data in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are deleted or alienated so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. There is therefore no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

Comments

When visitors post comments on the site, we collect the information displayed in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address, and the user-agent string (which identifies the browser) to help identify spam.

From your email address, an anonymized string (also called a hash) can be created and passed to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is shared, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

If you contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.

We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.

If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

When you write a comment on our website, this may be a consent to store your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is a convenience feature so that you do not have to re-enter all this information when you write another comment. These cookies are stored for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Contributions on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, pictures, articles etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with that embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged on to this site.

Data storage - Webshop

We would like to point out that for the purpose of simplifying the purchasing process and for subsequent contract processing, the webshop operator uses cookies to store the IP data of the connection owner, as well as the name, address and credit card number […] of the purchaser.

For the purpose of contract processing, the following data is also stored by us: Name, address and, depending on the method of payment, the necessary bank, account or credit card information. The data provided by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the contract with you. Data will not be transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card data to the processing bank institutes/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company/forwarding agent commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods and to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.

After cancellation of the purchase process, the data stored with us will be deleted. In case of a contract conclusion, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the tax law retention period (7 years). In addition, the data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase are stored until the expiry of the product liability period (10 years). The data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 para. 3 TKG and Art 6 para. 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the performance of the contract) of the DSGVO.

How long we keep your data

In addition to the retention periods already mentioned, when you write a comment, it will be stored for an unlimited time, including metadata. This way we can automatically detect and release follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

Website administrators can also view and modify this information.

What rights you have to your data

With regard to your data stored with us, you are entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to us at office@x-ant.at or to the data protection authority.

If you have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including all data you have provided us with. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep due to administrative, legal or security necessities.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments could be examined by an automated spam detection service.
