The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Web server log files are created when the website is accessed. The web server generated logfiles contain the following information:

  • page called up (URL)
  • browser or browser version
  • operating system
  • referrer URL (the previously visited website)
  • Host name and IP address of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request

Web server log files are created for reasons of operational security, to create access statistics (excluding IP addresses), etc. The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session.

The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. The data is also used to optimise the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

These purposes also include our legitimate interest in data processing on the basis of the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 (1) lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO.

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. If the data is stored in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest. A storage going beyond this is possible. In this case the IP addresses of the users are deleted or alienated, so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

Comments

When visitors post comments on the site, we collect the information displayed on the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string (which identifies the browser) to help detect spam.

From your email address, an anonymous string (also called a hash) can be created and submitted to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. You can find the Gravatar service’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Contact Forms

If you contact us via form on the website or via e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.

We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you when cookies are set and you only allow this in individual cases.

If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

If you write a comment on our website, this may be an agreement to store your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is a convenience feature so that when you write another comment, you do not have to re-enter all this information. These cookies are stored for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Contributions on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, contributions etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking services from third parties, and record your interaction with that embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content, if you have an account and are logged on to this site.

Data Storage – Webshop

We would like to point out that the IP data of the connection owner, as well as the name, address and credit card number […] of the buyer are stored by the webshop operator within the framework of cookies for the purpose of a simpler shopping process and for later contract processing.

The following data will also be stored by us for the purpose of processing the contract: Name, address and, depending on the payment method, the necessary bank, account or credit card information. The data provided by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. We cannot conclude a contract with you without this data. No data will be transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card data to the processing bank institutes/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company/shipping company commissioned by us to deliver the goods and to our tax consultant to fulfil our tax obligations.

The data stored by us will be deleted after the purchase process has been interrupted. If a contract is concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the end of the tax retention period (7 years). The data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase will also be stored until the expiration of the product liability (10 years).  The data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary to fulfill the contract) of the DSGVO.

How long we store your data

In addition to the retention periods already mentioned, when you write a comment, it is stored indefinitely, including metadata. In this way, we can automatically recognize and release follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

Website administrators can also view and modify this information.

What rights do you have to your data?

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection regarding your data stored with us. If you believe that the processing of your data violates the data protection law or your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to us at office@x-ant.at or the data protection authority.

If you have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including any data you have provided us with. In addition, you may request the deletion of any personal information that we hold about you. This does not include data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where we send your data to

Visitor comments could be examined by an automated spam detection service.
